Dr. Ivo Robotnik, better known by the alias Dr. Eggman, is the main antagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is the arch-enemy of Sally Nettle.

He appears in the Nightmare Series games. He is a protagonist in Sonic.exe: Nightmare Beginning and Sonic.exe: Nightmare Beginning Remake and an antagonist in Sally.exe Continued Nightmare and Sally.exe Continued Nightmare: Eye of Three. He is voiced by DarkBox.

Robotnik arrived in Mobius through an artificial portal, which was subsequently destroyed after his arrival. Restoration of the portal was impossible - the scheme was stolen, and his daughter Jessy was killed due to a misunderstanding.

He had fought with the "Freedom Fighters" on many occasions, getting the contemptuous nickname "Eggman" from the Freedom Fighters.[1]

Exe-Line 3

Demonized Dr. Eggman is seen in a blue temple with a machine. Exetior approaches him and asks how things are going with the creation of the virus, and when he will finish. He then says that they need to get more Mobians demonized before the Highest finds them.

Eggman replies that the proccess is going steady and that the prototype was able to subdue them, but that they then went out of control and that he had to subdue the subject. Exetior tells him to hurry up and that he doesn't want the Highests to wipe them out.

Exetior is about to leave, but then Eggman asks that, if he makes the virus in time, he will be able to go a couple of decades back and change some events in his life. Exetior refuses, and says that while Eggman's fate is unenviable, he can't change events that happened more than a week ago. He tells him to not dwell on the past and leaves. The room scrolls to show 6 Chaos Emeralds floating, glowing red, and surrounding a square blue object before it fades away.

A vrilliant scientist, Dr. Eggman had created a lot of robots and devices, including the famous Metal Sonic, who was also neutral to Sonic, but hated the Freedom Fighters. He had no attachment to any of the Mobians except Sonic. The scientist has been trapped in the world, and eventually he started to develop a deep hatred towards it.

After being demonized, he changed quite a bit, being sadder, but he still remains as an excellent engineer.[1]

Eggman, when demonized, looks identical to his normal self but with grey skin, red eyes, and darker clothes.

Eggman has genius-level intelligence and great knowledge of robotics and machinery, but he is physically underdeveloped.

  • Eggman once asked Exetior about his daughter's return. He could do it, but Eggman's daughter would suffer once she was resurrected due to the incident with Jessy happening several decades ago. Eggman loved his daughter too much to let her suffer, so he refused.[2]
