Sark's Cream killed Cheese due to him bugging Sark. there was plans for Cheese to be demonized but it unknown what happened for him not to be at the moment.

Past. Cheese lived with Cream, having a seemingly peaceful life. However, after Sark’s invasion, which he somehow survived, Sark forced Cream to kill him, ignoring her begging him not to. Tearfully, Cream went through with it and she kept his head as a sort of keepsake to talk with at times.
